This one plus others in Gallipoli smokes shop near Lecce

This was found in a market near Lake Iseo with bout ten other timpo that quickly fell apart

These were great.Whole load found in toy shop in Mestre

Finally my new hat.Get one Summer's out soon and remember guys without lids are like cops without balls.

CRESCENT

Here is a French Diern Bien Phu figure still unfinished that I made from a Crescent para. Its bloody murder getting the right colour to the cammo. It seems easy but is not.
The Knightws by crescent were not bad but

the cavalry well they sucked as they say over the water

But I didn't mind the Mexicans.Good conversions material here.

ATLANTIC

  1. I am painting these up but have probs with uniform details
This is a Aviation flight technician. Not sure if Italian or American or what

Italian paras at El Alamein and Tobruk. To the eye they look Ok but under a macro lens like this well its a paint job

Some ACW that I've been doing

  1. The first photo above shows a infantry figure that I gave a full conversion to as well as giving him blond hair, he's hans Von Braun from Munch come to make his fortune at getting shot at in the war.I gotta fix that bayonet though!!! Jokes aside the next photo of Crescent cowboys has the colt bearing original figure below to the far right
  2. Below is the Lee figure from BMC given a new hat and I cut away the hat in his hand and put what will be a map
Here is the full figure still unfinished

    An Iron Brigade conversion

US Artillery officer.I'm still building up the hat

Custer figure given a kepi plus new holster. I hate that pistol=too big

The Crescent cowboy totally reworked and given a colt. Still unfinished.

    A group of conversions.

Zouaves

  1. Italeri Zouave that I am working on .I built up the pants as they were far too narrow.Italeri are always dissapointing in some ways. They have opportunity to create terrific stuff but invariably get it wrong. That said they have done some brilliant stuff. I just didn't understand why they did Zouaves without the typical voluminous pants
My conversion of a BMC figure

    Another view

    How Zouaves really looked

    Two from Conte.Great stuff.

    Another view of my one.

Again!!! One of my hand made boxes behind

Series 77 Zouave that doesn't hit it like Conte

original print of NYC Zouaves; but this asks the question were zouaves like this or like Van Gogh's painting?
